Her work often depicts animals and their human friend in imaginative lands to elicit a sense of comfort, warmth, and joy.

Outside of art, Shirley is a previous startup founder and worked in tech as a product manager. Raised between China and New Zealand, Shirley now lives in Seattle with her husband and two cats.
